The SHS School Board mission statement, as written by the Board in 2004, is "To provide an exemplary Catholic, faith-based and competitive education within a close-knit, loving community." We feel it is important to share this because it gives you a sense of what is at the forefront of each school board member's mind at every board meeting and during every deliberation as we assist Sr. Kathleen and Fr. Bob in leading Sacred Heart School.

Although our central focus has been, and will always be , the educational quality at Sacred Heart, the board has spent a fair amount of time and effort on two additional items these past years.

First, the financial stability of our school is central to all of us. Through the stewardship of the parish and individual tuition, we are able to offer a competitive education in an area known for academic excellence. Additionally, through the PASS program, we are able to narrow the salary gap that exists among North Shore schools, both public and private.

Secondly, with the addition of Deb Guy to the staff, we have made a commitment to Development and Marketing at SHS. Both will also play significant roles in the financial health of our school. We are very proud of the school and its growth, especially over the past 8 years since Sister Kathleen has been principal. In just one year, the enrollment at Sacred Heart has increased almost 15%. That is due to the strength of faculty and staff, our church community and the underlying strength of the promise our school offers.
